Drug-Free Workplace

JGMS is committed to a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for all employees that is free from the effects of substance abuse and may require pre-employment drug testing. In accordance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, JGMS prohibits working after the apparent use of alcohol, a controlled substance, or abuse of any other substance; further, JGMS prohibits the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a controlled substance while on Company premises or conducting Company business. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

E-Verify

JGMS validates right to work using E-Verify. JGMS will provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.

Employee Polygraph Protection Act

The Employee Polygraph Protection Act prohibits most private employers from using lie detector tests either for pre-employment screening or during the course of employment. The law does not apply to tests given by the Federal Government to certain private individuals engaged in National Security-related activities. JGMS Inc. does provide some contractual services to the Federal Government that are National Security-related, resulting in the potential requirement for a polygraph test to be administered to any applicant or employee hired to conduct services under the related contract.
