The heart and soul of our organization
-
Founder + CEO
As the founder and CEO of JGMS, I strive to set the strategic direction of the company to provide quality services and expertise to the federal government. I started JGMS in 2001 after working for the Department of Energy in Albuquerque, NM and Grand Junction, CO. Prior to the DOE, I was a mechanical design engineer working for engineering firms in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM.
I am focused on impacting the communities in which we live and work and find great joy in working with kids through coaching and mentoring.
I hold degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management.
-
Chief Financial Officer
After graduating with a Master of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University, I worked as a Transition Controller in the hospitality industry. I joined JGMS in 2008, where I have served as Controller, Business Operations Director, and finally Chief Financial Officer. At JGMS, we truly are a family. When I look back, I am proud of the fact that we have always remained true to who we are and rooted in our value system.
-
Chief Administrative Officer
I joined the JGMS team in 2019 supporting a major client in the Department of Energy. Through years of Operations and Human Resource Management, I have developed a passion for leading teams and providing exceptional customer service. Building relationships within JGMS and with our customers is a major part of what I do and why I’ve felt at home here. As an organization, we are rooted in community and building lasting relationships and I look forward to upholding that commitment well into the future.
-
VP, Strategy + Development
With more than 35 years of federal facility design and construction program and project management, I serve as the JGMS Vice President of Strategy and Development. I am a registered professional engineer, a certified government financial manager, and former member of the acquisition professional community. I hold a Doctorate in Engineering Management, Masters in Engineering (Geotechnical) and in National Security and Strategy, and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. I truly believe the people and culture of JGMS have made it what it is today, a great place to work and something we can be proud of. We are all exceptionally talented and bring unique perspectives to our projects, all the while preserving a company culture that promotes one another.

Employee Spotlight
Hi, Betty Knight!
Meet Betty Knight! She’s been with JGMS for over 14 years and is the Project Manager for the administrative support of the National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Field Office Federal clients.
Thanks for all you do, Betty!
I am the JGMS-GS Project Manager for the administrative support of the National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Field Office Federal clients. Outside of work I love spending time with my furbabies, my friends and their furbabies, listening to music, watching many streaming services, and going to the musicals at The Smith Center.
Betty Knight | JGMS-GS Project Manager
Betty Knight began her career at the Nevada National Security Site through the Summer Science Student Program and later joined the Site’s Management and Operating contractor full time shortly after graduating high school. As a second generation employee, her father worked as a carpenter at the Site, and her career reflects a longstanding family connection to the mission.
Outside of work, Betty values time at home with her three Chihuahuas and two cats. She has a personal interest in travel, with Australia at the top of her list, and enjoys collecting items related to Bluey. She also has a strong interest in learning new languages and has participated in activities such as parasailing and ultralight aircraft flights.
Betty brings a steady, committed presence shaped by experience and a deep connection to the organization’s history.
